A Time for Change
By Dawn Solomon, PhD, ATP®
Now is a time of change. The Earth is in a process of cleansing itself and shifting its energy. This is manifesting itself in the form of physical and social changes and shifts for all of its inhabitants. Through the spring and summer of 2009 we are experiencing great shifts in our energy and the energy of those around us. It is a time to willingly release those people, places, things and situations that have outlived their usefulness in our lives. Now is the time to step out of the "triangle of disempowerment" where we may find ourselves depending on old stories and paradigms, often jumping between the roles of victim, perpetrator and rescuer. It can feel scary to release old patterns and ways of life that we are comfortable with, but the benefits to our personal and spiritual growth can be monumental, far exceeding the discomfort of change.
The first step in this releasement process is to notice and become aware of those things and patterns that have outlived their usefulness. Notice when you begin to step into the role of victim. Notice when you get caught in an old story or pattern. It is at this point that you must step into your power, step into that person who your soul is yearning to become, and take the leap to willingly and joyfully release those people, places, things and situations from your life. By stepping into your power, your sacred space of self, you can reconnect to your soul and realign yourself with your life's purpose. It is in this space that you can ask for strong guidance and support to release all things within your life that are not for your greatest and highest good and give thanks for the valuable lessons learned. This does not place judgment on those things, but merely releases them for the greatest and highest good for all. Allowing yourself to move into your personal power and into your true self rejuvenates and reenergizes your soul. As you free yourself to feel the inspiration of your connection to Spirit, you will begin to see and feel this inspiration manifest as a renewed passion for life and for your soul's purpose.
A final and very important step in this releasement process is to make a new choice through an act of ceremony. Alberto Villoldo, PhD writes that "Ceremony allows you to create change at the level of the Soul, without engaging in the place of fear." Examples of such ceremonies include fire ceremonies where you either write what you wish to release on a paper or blow your intent into an item of nature, then burn it. Another example of ceremony is to create an altar designed to support you in claiming a new destiny or recommitting yourself to your soul's purpose. The full moon is a very powerful time to practice either of these ceremonies to support the energetic shift in your being.
This journey or path of change that allows for great shifts in who we are becoming is what some of history's great Shamans called the path of the Luminous Warrior. It is a practice of living in a place of balance where you are in right relationship with everything. In this place we are free of limiting beliefs, negative self talk, old stories and imprints. In the path of the Luminous Warrior there is no blame and no judgment.
Embrace your uniqueness and the gifts you have to bring to the World at this time of great shift. Take the risk to step outside of time and into your sacred space. It is here that you can vision into being a new world of joy, peace and prosperity for yourself and the Earth.
With Great Blessings,
