Spiritual Integrity

Happy summer to you all! I hope you are enjoying the season and finding blessings and miracles in each and every day. As we begin the month of August we start off with a lunar eclipse on the sixth. This is creating some pretty intense energy over the next four weeks, as it is coming on the heal of a solar eclipse just two weeks ago! This represents a great opportunity to fast track our growth and consciousness.
For many of us, we are finding that what we may have thought as the truth or fact, no longer applies and we have to continuously re-evaluate our thoughts and beliefs. Many of you may feel like you are being rocked to the center of your being, as the old foundations of our lives are crumbling away. This can feel scary and bring a sense of helplessness and feeling out of control, but these changes and shifts in awareness are needed in order to create new foundations, based on the new truths you are discovering. This will allow you to bring more peace, love and abundance into your life.
To take full advantage of this opportunity for growth we must focus on living a life of spiritual integrity. We do this by living a life of purpose and by consciously intending to maintain our Divine Connection. This is the path to wholeness. Living with spiritual integrity allows us to follow through with our commitments; without stress, confusion or fear. We are clear and our actions are in alignment with our heart.
Many of us have taken on the rules and beliefs that we were taught by our families, teachers and communities. Often these are not in alignment with who we are or what we feel is true. Spiritual integrity is about reclaiming our truth from the inside out, from the core of our being. When we live with spiritual integrity, we choose to go deeper into ourselves to find out who we are and live in alignment with our spirit; regardless of the rules that others have taught us or if others will still accept and love us when we are living as our authentic selves.
The energy infusions this month make it an excellent time to work on strengthening your integrity in several areas:
~ To develop our Mental integrity we must release ourselves from self judgment and from punishing ourselves as a result of those judgments. Be aware of your thoughts and replace critical self thoughts with thoughts of loving compassion toward yourself. Learn from your mistakes gracefully by giving thanks for the lessons learned from the experience, rather than beating yourself up over the experience.
~ Emotional integrity is about releasing old hurts and finding forgiveness for yourself and others. It is about learning to work with our emotions as a guide to what it is we need and accepting that it is ok to need. It is ok to need love, acceptance, intimacy, friendship, etc. There are no 'should haves', only your truth. One common need for all of us at this time is for Forgiveness. Dr. Christiane Northrup defines forgiveness as the feeling of lightness and joy that comes when we no longer tell the same old story that keeps us down. Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was right or just. It does not mean you need to make nice with the person. It does not mean you need to visit them, even if it is your own mother! It simply means that you have to let it go and that you no longer need to tell that story which was keeping your energy down.
~ Spiritual integrity is the recognition that you are not the mind, you are not your emotions and you are not your body. You are the light that illuminates from within your spirit. The more aligned you are with your spiritual integrity (your spirit), the more you radiate out this luminous light of YOU. You are a divine spark of light traversing all realities at the speed of light!
Be gentle on yourself this month and take care of you. Be excited about the new journey you are embarking on and embrace the new wisdoms you are gaining as a result of these wonderful energy infusions.
You are not alone. You are a Divine Spark of Creation. You are love.
